What is, ‘Metaverse’?

There is much debate. Let’s try this: the Metaverse is a collection of digital worlds that range along a spectrum of attributes. There are decentralized, open projects and centralized, closed systems. There are metaverses dedicated to play-to-earn games and NFTs and social metaverses that emphasize collaboration and productivity. Some metaverses use web3.0 infrastructure like blockchain and cryptocurrencies; other remain tethered to the web2.0 world. As each of these projects evolves, develops connective tissue to other experiments, the Metaverse emerges. Metaversal Education is a series of immersive engagements that demystify the web3.0 landscape, that explore the potential, and shape the future of, the Metaverse.

Metaversal Education 101

Customized 6-week educational program. Weekly immersive learning experiences combined with asynchronous, scalable learning that leverages video and animation. Asynchronous lessons are 3-5 mins in length and the weekly collection does not exceed 60 mins.

Metaversal Education 101 starts with the earliest of web3.0 building blocks to establish a robust understanding of how the metaverse came to be and what it’s capable of. Six domains form the foundation of web3.0 and culminate in the seventh, the Metaverse. The standard curriculum includes five (DeFi and the Semantic Web are omitted).

  • Program with - parallel paths for corporate innovation and web3.0 product management - to design and protoype metaverse products. Facilitated by Longtale Studios with technical support from development partners.

  • Program designed to educate leaders and develop a strategic metaverse/web3.0 roadmap. Longtale Studios leads research and ideation, collaborating with internal partners to articulate a strategic plan across organizational domains.

  • Program to explore internal applications of the metaverse and web3.0 technology. Longtale Studios researches organizational behavior and develops experiments to test web3.0 within subsets of the workforce.
